Painting with Light
In the first photo I had someone stand behind me and trace the outline of my body. The shutter speed was set at ten. To create our photo we used a white finger light and traced the outline of my body. The viewer of the photo my be confused on how we achieved the effect of the light.
Motion
We used a shutter speed of 100 when capturing me jumping. I froze the image of me jumping in the air and you can see me bringing my legs up and you can see my sweater still in the air. I was about 6 feet away from the camera and it was pointing at me straight on. My torso and legs lined up with the gridlines in the rule of thirds.
I did not have a camera with shutter speed when I photographed my brother running. My point and shoot camera was set on automatic. my brothers legs and arms mostly show the blur of the picture, he is moving his legs and arms more than his torso and head. i was about 7 feet away from my brother when I took the photo. I used the rule of thirds in this photo because my grid lines match with the celling and the floor.
